Frequently Asked Questions

Crucial travel guidelines, packing tips, and itinerary customisation answers to help prepare your Kenyan bush trek.

What should I carry/pack for a safari?
We highly recommend lightweight, neutral-colored clothing (beige, khaki, green). Avoid bright colors or blue/black which attract tsetse flies. Pack a warm fleece/jacket for early morning drives, comfortable walking shoes, high-SPF sunscreen, sunglasses, insect repellent, binoculars, a camera, and adapter plugs (UK style G plug).
Are national park entry fees included in the price?
Yes! All our listed package rates include the necessary government park entry fees, conservation fees, and vehicle entry permits, ensuring complete transparency with no hidden costs.
Can the safaris be customized or private?
Absolutely. We specialize in custom tailoring. You can change the hotels/lodges, adjust the duration, add local activities (like hot air ballooning or local tribe visits), or set up a completely private family expedition.
Are these safaris family and child friendly?
Yes, our safaris are highly family-friendly! We configure comfortable pacing, select family tent-villas with swimming pools, and our professional guides have great experience engaging children with bushcraft lessons and spotting games.
What type of vehicle is used?
We use custom-outfitted, robust 4x4 safari Landcruisers. Each vehicle features a complete pop-up roof for 360-degree photography, charging sockets for cameras/phones, a cool box stocked with cold mineral water, first-aid kits, and high-frequency long-range radios.
Can special dietary requirements be accommodated?
Yes. All partnered lodges and camps cater to vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free, halal, or specific allergy diets. Please advise us of any requirements upon booking.
